All husbands can be hard to find at times, but good luck hiding from any of these wives.

The Tennessee State Fair and the Iowa State Fair both hold annual Husband Calling Contests, which is exactly what it sounds like. Women sign up for a chance to show off their prowess in calling their husbands. Some add some flair with yodeling, some just go with pure volume and others like to add in a little humor.

No matter the method, the calls are always entertaining.

The Iowa State Fair has been holding this competition, along with contests for hog calling, Mom calling and a few others. But the Husband calling continues to be the head turner at both fairs.

In Tennessee, the 2024 Champion comes from Canada as Shannon Howorko and her husband Gene made it all the way to the fair for a chance to compete.

For his part, Geno was a great sport and the next time he hears "GEEEEEENO" he will know that it comes from a ribbon winning caller.

In Iowa, Wendy Bryce took home first place when she worked Vanilla Ice's '90s monster hit "Ice Ice Baby" into her call for her husband Risty. The change may have been the difference as she improved from her fourth place finish in 2023.
