I don't know what it is about my neighborhood, or maybe my street in particular, but every Halloween, it feels like a dead zone for trick-or-treaters. The kids don't come by, and we are left with a large bowl of candies that neither my wife nor I can seem to resist.

I will tell you right now, it was not candy corn, because there is only a small population that actually likes the taste. However, I did not think that the most popular candy in Colorado, based on Google Trends search data in October over the past five years, would be what it is.

Nerds Candy Tops the List in Colorado

Colorado's favorite Halloween candy is also the favorite in five other states. Alaska, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington, along with Colorado, all seem to love Nerds candy for Halloween.
