The Stanley Hotel is known for frequent otherworldly occurrences and paranormal activity on the property -  but that doesn't keep guests away. In fact, it's actually very much the opposite. People from near and far purposely book stays at this iconic Colorado hotel with the hopes of having an eerie encounter of their own.

This spooky season, horror fans are invited to celebrate at Stanley in an exclusive event hosted by Peacock and Blumhouse. The collaboration will offer a thrilling, immersive overnight experience to a select group of daring guests.

Overnightmare at the Stanley Hotel takes place October 18-20 and will be filled with electrifying scares, interactive activities, shady characters and heart-pounding horror.

There are four different overnight experiences for guests to pick from, based on Blumhouse films: Happy Death Day, Freaky, The Purge, and Insidious. While they are all equally scary, the intensity level rises with each category. Step inside the spine-chilling worlds of some of the scariest Blumhouse films while staying in the ominous backdrop of The Stanley Hotel.

According to the Overnightmare website, the weekend will be filled with "electrifying scares, interactive activities, shady characters, and heart-pounding horror."

The Happy Death Day: Time Loop Terror scare experience is described as having all the thrills without too many chills. It's the least scary of all the options and centers around a crazy dorm party that no one wanted.

Freaky: Body Swap Surprise is explained as being equal parts suspenseful and fun. The plot with this heart-pounding experience involves a killer on the loose, a teen in over her head, and a body swap gone terribly wrong.

The third option for overnightmare is The Purge: Under Siege. Survival becomes the name of the game when the chaos of purge night begins. Will you make it through?

Insidious: Into the Further is the most intense of the four options. Only the bravest souls should sign up for this adventure.

This is an R-rated experience; participants must be at least 21 to attend. Space for Overnightmare is limited and will likely sell out quickly.

Take a Look at Colorado's Iconic Stanley Hotel, Which Inspired the Shining

Stephen King stayed in this hotel in the 1970s, and he was inspired to write The Shining, one of the best horror novels of all time. Many believe The Stanley has paranormal activity.
