Big 12 Fines Colorado Over Fan Behavior
The conference for the Buffaloes, the Big 12, has fined the University of Colorado-Boulder due to its fans' behavior. And no, this has nothing to do with the now infamous ‘light up quarter’.
Anti-Mormon Chants Spark National Attention
According to ESPN and other sources, the university has been fined because of chants during a home game against BYU. Buffalo fans were chanting anti-Mormon chants that caught the attention of the nation, as well as the commissioner of the Big 12.
$50,000 Penalty for Hateful Chants
The commissioner called the chants hateful and discriminatory and decided to fine the school $50,000 for the fan chants.

Coach Sanders Responds With an Apology
Coach Deion Sanders apologized for the chants and claimed they likely came from young kids who were intoxicated, USA Today reports.
This group of fans was chanting “F–k the Mormons”. Colorado lost to BYU 24-21.
