The Fourth of July weekend is when many families take a vacation in the summer months, and it seems like a lot of people will be going somewhere this Independence Day.

According to Denver International Airport, nearly one million travelers will pass through security checkpoints at the Colorado airport. Denver International Airport is forecasting more than 900,000 travelers starting Thursday, June 27, through Monday, July 7.

If you are one of the thousands of travelers going to Denver's airport for the Fourth of July, you are being encouraged to arrive inside the airport at least two hours in advance of your boarding time.

Since there will be so many travelers this holiday, it would be best to get to the airport earlier than needed to check bags, go through security, and take the train to your respective terminal to leave on your vacation.

Plan Airport Parking Ahead of Time

It would also be best to plan your parking at Denver International Airport well in advance, as there is currently construction in the West Economy Lot and West Garage Level 1. Denver International Airport says that parking at DEN will be in high demand, and the last thing you would want to deal with before starting your vacation is to find a place to park, so plan in advance.

While this Fourth of July seems like there are higher-than-usual travel numbers at Denver International Airport, the number of approximately 900,000 travelers through the Fourth of July weekend is right on track with the numbers from 2024.
