Handel’s Ice Cream Expands Into Colorado

There are many different options in Colorado when it comes to ice cream, and we just got another. This ice cream shop started in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1945. Since the opening of the first location, the shop has expanded to over 150 locations in 15 states, and in 2025, Colorado got its first location.

Aurora Gets the First Handel’s Location in the State

Offering four dozen tasty flavors, Handel's Ice Cream should surely be a bucket list item for every sweet lover across the state of Colorado. Visitors to Handel's Ice Cream shop, located at the Southlands Shopping Center in Aurora, can expect to see traditional ice cream flavors, plus Bana Cream Pie, Blue Monster, Coconut Caramel Delight, Confetti Brownie Batter, Frosted Animal Cookie, Horchata, Monkey Business, Pink Champagne Sherbet, Spouse Like a House, Watermelon Ice, and many more.

To top it off, Handel's Ice Cream also offers an additional 140 flavors that will rotate in and out seasonally. According to the Denver Post, Handel's Ice Cream has had rapid growth over the past few years and has been named in the Franchise Times' Top 400 and Fast Casual Movers and Shakers.
