You’ve Got to Check Out This Amazing Colorado Brunch Spot

Normally, I am not a breakfast person or a brunch person either, for that matter. This weekend was a bit different. Since the summer and most of the fall weeks have been so hectic, I decided to slow down and surprise my wife with an early date day on Sunday.

I picked out an activity for the surprise but wanted to add a place to grab a bite to eat beforehand. I started to search for a place near where we were going and used Yelp to assist. This search led me to a place in Westminster that had rave reviews.

With more than 800 reviews and a bunch of photos to back up the claims of the best breakfast in Colorado, I was sold and made a reservation for late Sunday morning. This breakfast and brunch spot is Early Bird and it was amazing.

When we got inside Early Bird, we both felt comfortable and had a good vibe. We all know what we were there for, the food. Let me tell you, it was great. My wife got the From the Griddle entree. There are many different options to choose from such as pancakes, french toast, and two types of waffles with four different types of toppings.

When it comes to breakfast foods, one of my favorite things is chicken and waffles, and that is exactly what I chose to get. The Izzy's Kickin' Chicken & Waffle comes with gluten-free fried chicken, a pork gravy with sausage and bacon, a honey drizzle, and my favorite topping, the hot sauce.

Brunch at Early Bird Restaurant in Westminster, Colorado
