Award-Winning Pizza Chain Bringing First Colorado Spot to Loveland

It's hard to find many Coloradans that don't enjoy a great pizza, so it's great that Loveland will be the first Colorado location for this place.

One Former Pizza Spot Loveland to Make Way for 'New to Colorado' Chain

In east Loveland, near Kohl's and Lowe's, there stood a Domino's Pizza for many years; by the fall of 2025 that location will become the first in Colorado of a chain that started out in San Francisco, California.

Going from Domino's to Slice House by Tony Gemignani is going to feel like a train wreck, but it's going to be a great spot in the end. It's easy to get to, with lots of neighborhoods popping up in the area. There's also an ice cream shop nearby, for "after pizza."

What is Slice House by Tony Gemignani?

Tony Gemignani is one heck of a pizza chef, without question, though I hadn't heard of him until the news of this Loveland spot was announced. He got his start at his brother's pizza place, tossing pizza dough. He became so good at it, he won awards for doing it, and toured the country with his skills.

Seeing all the different pizza styles across the nation while on his "tossing tour" inspired Tony to start his own pizza restaurant in 2007. By 2010, that successful restaurant spurred a new concept: Slice House. Slice House serves a variety of pizza styles (NY, Detroit, Sicilian, Thin Classic, along with Chicago Beef Sandwiches and other deli faves.
