We Have One Less Place to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Colorado
St. Patrick's Day in Colorado has a lot of places to go and celebrate, minus one, as of 2025. After four years a pub in Fort Collins closed its doors.
With luck (Irish luck,) the location will see success again as an Irish Pub. For decades this spot in Fort Collins was home to a very popular spot for gathering with friends, whether it was St. Paddy's or not.
The thing is, this pub may show up on a list of places to go for St. Patrick's Day, leaving folks disappointed in the end.
After Four Years The Irish Pub In Fort Collins Shutters
There was an Irish-themed pub, Mulligan's, that was open for nearly 30 years in Fort Collins, near Drake and College. It was a great and popular place; I remember hitting them up for darts and beers with friends many times in the 90's
A year after Mulligan's closed in 2019, a new Irish-themed pub opened up in the spot, called The Irish Pub; they opened on St. Patrick's Day 2020.

Of course 2020 wasn't a great year for anybody or any business, but they made it through to 2021, 2022 and 2023. They did not, however, make it through 2024, it would seem.

Looking at their Facebook page, it looks like everything was fine through St. Paddy's of 2024, but things went sour. There was this post on March 24, 2024:
If you Google "The Irish Pub" you'll see it listed as being "Temporarily Closed;" a Google Street View photo from May of 2024, shows a "suspension" notice from the City of Fort Collins on their door.
Irish pubs are a lot of fun; lively atmospheres, Irish drinks and food. With luck, The Irish Pub or another great pub will open here.
