Weld Food Bank, out of Greeley, helps tens of thousands of people throughout Weld County every day. With the holiday season of 2025, they're holding a large one-day food drive to stock their shelved and feed those facing food insecurity. A Saturday where we can help others in Northern Colorado by donating and by volunteering.

Saturday, November 22, 2025, Weld Food Bank will be at over a dozen grocery stores around Weld County collecting non-perishable food donations. You picking up a turkey or a few non-perishable items for the Food Bank will go a long way. With SNAP benefits being cutoff during the government shutdown, on top of other situations that put community members in need of the Food Bank, the holidays of 2025 are very tough.

MORE COLORADO GROCERIES - See the Last Day of Loveland's Downtown Safeway

When I paid my last visit to the Downtown Safeway on its last day, October 25, 2025, it was with trepidation: I didn't want to see how sad it probably looked, but like watching a wreck on the highway, it was hard to not see the how it looked.
