Not to shine the light on news that we're trying to avoid, but summer 2024 is coming to an end, and pools all over Colorado are going to start to shut down for the season as the fall weather starts to creep in.

Driving out of my neighborhood the other day, I noticed some leaves starting to fall and colors changing in some trees, so we've got to soak up as much of the Colorado summer sunshine as we can before hoodie season truly arrives! This includes some last-minute fun for the pups as well...

It's the largest event of its kind not just in Colorado, but maybe the world, and America's Biggest and Best Water Park is leading the way. Saturday, September 7th at Water World in Federal Heights, bring your pooch to splash it up around the famous Water Park.

This year's Bow Wow Beach Doggie Day features four spots for dogs of all sizes to soak up one last day of summer including Thunder Bay, Cowabunga Beach, Turtle Bay, and Wally World. Have a smaller dog? No worries because Wally World is available exclusively for dogs under 25 lbs.

Tickets for this event are only $9.99 per pup (humans get in for free) and there are three different sessions to choose from.

  • Session 1 is from 8:15 am -9:45 am
  • Session 2 is from 10:00 am -11:30 am
  • Session 3 is from 11:45 am -1:15 pm

Space is limited and fills up pretty quickly, and each ticket sold helps the Riverside Animal Shelter, which is partnering up with Water World for this year's Bow Wow Beach Doggie Day.

Only dogs are permitted in the water and must be at least 1+ years of age with a valid signed vaccination waiver prior to entry. Dogs must be accompanied by someone 18 or older. If you meet the criteria, get your tickets and thank you furry buddy for rendering another hot cOlorado summer by cooling off at Water World!

Just because the water slides are done for the year, doesn't mean you can't still slide... Check this place out!

Proposed Greeley West Side Project and Eagles Hockey Arena Vision

The city of Greeley and Water Valley Company are exploring a public-private partnership to develop a community in West Greeley that would include an arena that would house the Colorado Eagles at the center of an entertainment and transportation hub.

The phased development could ultimately grow to 5,000 acres, one of Northern Colorado's largest developments. Below are some pictures. Here's the whole story.
