He's one of the the greatest guys in Colorado, this man who dresses as Captain America, to raise money to help kids. He's "Colorado Captain," and with all the miles he puts on his Harley, it's bound to have issues, on occasion.

This particular situation involved a Colorado State Patrol deputy coming to the rescue of the "hero" on his way to another Children's Hospital event. One could say it was one hero helping another.

'Colorado Captain' Rescued on Colorado Highway

Matt Gnojek, "Colorado Captain's" Harley Davidson had an engine failure in December of 2024, as he was on his way to the Highland's Ranch campus of Children's Hospital of Colorado; which left his bike on the side of road on I-25.

Mike's been doing this for over five years; as an actor, it's easy for him to portray the Avenger while raising money for endeavors such as fighting pediatric cancer. When the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Deputy realized who's bike was stranded, he wanted to help.

According to CNN:

[the deputy] offered to pay for the cost of the tow and waited for the truck to arrive ensuring the motorcycle was moved to a safe location while Gnojek and his friend made arrangements to pick up the vehicle.

It's quite an endeavor to don the outfit, ride for miles and miles every year, to put smiles on faces and raise needed funds when it comes to great causes; the state could use more like "Colorado Captain."
