The average age when kids start to curse is 11 years old. Most kids learn about curse words from three places: friends at school, entertainment like movies and television, and most commonly you or their other parent.

I swear in my normal day-to-day life, I'll be honest, but I keep everything clean on social media. I am in the minority on that because according to new insights from Word Tips, Coloradans feel more comfortable swearing on social media than most states.

Word Tips analyzed social media data and ranked cities and states for using the most profanity on social media.

Colorado ranked above average, but a specific city in Colorado curses a lot more often than the rest of the state.

Greeley Sticks Out on Ranking

Greeley is the only city in Colorado listed in the top 50. Greeley has an average of 50.1 swear words per 1,000 tweets. Words Tips used a sample of 1.7 million social posts across the country to develop this ranking.

Proposed Greeley West Side Project and Eagles Hockey Arena Vision

The city of Greeley and Water Valley Company are exploring a public-private partnership to develop a community in West Greeley that would include an arena that would house the Colorado Eagles at the center of an entertainment and transportation hub.

The phased development could ultimately grow to 5,000 acres, one of Northern Colorado's largest developments. Below are some pictures. Here's the whole story.
