There are so many things that take up your calendar during the holidays in Colorado, but this is something that's not only fun but also historic.

Imagine spending Christmas with a Santa Claus who enjoys the beach and little umbrellas in his drink. Then, imagine that beach being located in one of Colorado's oldest and legendary libation spots.

Get your gang and plan on a night of Christmas cheer at a place that dates back to the end of Prohibition.

Sippin' Santa Christmas Pop-Up Coming to One of Colorado's Oldest Bars

The 'Sippin' Santa' Christmas pop-up has been around, officially, since 2015, after the big "Miracle" pop-ups began. These folks came up with a twist on the idea:

Envision Santa on a surfboard instead of a sleigh, replace the classic pine tree with palms decked with ornaments, and hang hibiscus garlands alongside tinsel—in essence, that is the Sippin’ Santa spirit.

The 2024 'Sippin' Santa' pop-up will have one Colorado location, inside the great The Arvada Tavern. The Arvada Tavern at 5707 Olde Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, has operated since 1933 in the historic Olde Town Wadsworth District; it's a true Colorado destination spot.

A part of The Arvada Tavern is Bernard's Tiki Room, and that's where you'll find the 'Sippin' Santa' pop-up, beginning Nov. 26 through the end of 2024. Come in, have a couple of their many Tiki-inspired cocktails (you can buy the drinkware) and enjoy the holidays.
