As if Colorado's massive Denver International Airport wasn't crazy enough, a mechanical problem stopped all trains and backed up travelers for hours earlier today (Tuesday, August 28th). Are they fixed yet?

DIA Trains Fail And Stop Due To Mechanical Issue

Passengers at Denver International Airport had to deal with a massive disruption in their travel plans as the airport’s automated train system, which is already kind of a pain, was halted due to a mechanical failure.

The failure happened just after 2:30 pm and caused a temporary inconvenience for travelers as they navigated alternative routes within the airport. If you're familiar with DIA though, if those trains stop, the only terminal that's accessible by foot is Terminal A.

The waiting areas to board trains for all three concourses were packed to the gills, and security lines were backed up as well and they had no place to send the eager travelers, causing many stressed-out passengers to wait for DIA to solve the issue. As of this writing, DIA is reporting that all trains are back up and running and that security has been beefed up to expedite current wait times.

While seemingly fixed (for now), this isn't the first time the DIA trains have failed this year, as there have been multiple instances where DIA travelers have been stranded waiting for trains that never came to grab them from their terminals.

While we understand how far the walk would be from the main security area to Terminals B and C, is it time for DIA to have a better backup plan in place for instances like this? They've used buses in the past when trains have failed, but even that was pure chaos as there wasn't a proper system and plan in place to accommodate that kind of change on a whim.

Denver International Airport is already expected to be a nightmare this holiday weekend, malfunctioning trains cannot be added to an already chaotic traveling situation.

HIlariously Nasty 1-Star Google Reviews of Colorado's Denver International Airport

Visiting an airport is rarely fun. Hardly anyone reports having an intellectual experience while being funneled through TSA or spending four hours waiting to catch a connection.

Most of the time, a visit to an airport is just that - a visit to the airport. From time to time, though, trouble can arise, a flight gets delayed, Starbucks on Concourse A doesn't serve your coffee at the preferred temperature, or the bathroom runs out of paper towels.

While most flights are uneventful, some suffer what they might consider a "bad experience." Most are trivial. With that, here's a look at a selection of hilariously nasty 1-star Google reviews of Colorado's Denver International Airport.
