With America's and Colorado's love of a great burger and fries, the idea of Wendy's locations being shuttered is just sad. They will be closing dozens of locations across the country and Colorado isn't being spared.

Wendy's has been around so long, we've all been to one; whether it be for a Single, Double, a Biggie Bag, or a Frosty (with fries for dipping.) The one that you frequent in Colorado may be a location that they're closing.

Not only does it mean fewer locations, but also many people being put out of work.

Wendy's Locations in Colorado Begin Being Closed Down by Company

I am a big fan of Wendy's; I'm known around the station for hitting up the one in Windsor every Friday afternoon for a (Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger) Biggie Bag. When they upgraded their French fries, I was one of the first to try them out- they're delicious.

It was announced in November of 2024, that the company would be closing 140 "outdated" and "underperforming" locations, while opening up upgrades locations, as well.

According to the Denver Post, the Colorado shutdowns have begun, with three of Colorado's 125 locations having closed, in the Denver area, in December. Three, just like that, is ominous for the 122 other locations in the state.

You have to think about ones that have been around a long time (outdated): I think of the one in Loveland, near Taft and Eisenhower. That Wendy's has been open for 20+ years; is it on their list for closing?
