World Famous Chicken Wing Restaurant To Open First Colorado Location

If you're a fan of chicken wings, then get ready because the "original buffalo wing restaurant" is set to make its long-awaited Colorado debut next week. The space it's taking over was a Colorado classic that we're excited to see re-vamped too.

Former Bent Fork The Grill Location To Re-Open As New Wing Restaurant & Bar

The Bent Fork called the Promenade Shops at Centerra home for nearly two decades. The popular Colorado restaurant and bar closed its doors for good back in January 2022 after never fully bouncing back from the loss of revenue from the pandemic.

After that fantastic location had been closed for over two years, someone is finally moving in, and bringing something that hasn't been experienced in Colorado until now. Imitators are all over Colorado, but this is the Buffalo Wing OG!

Anchor Bar Opening First Colorado Location In Loveland

Anchor Bar opened its first location in Buffalo New York back in 1964. Until then, chicken wings were mostly used for soup and weren't eaten as they are today. Anchor Bar's story says that Teressa Bellissimo "deep-fried the wings and flavored them with a secret sauce. The wings were an instant hit and it didn’t take long for people to flock to the bar to experience this new taste sensation. From that evening on, Buffalo Wings became a regular part of the menu at the Anchor Bar."

Now, Anchor Bar is set to bring that secret OG Buffalo Sauce with them to Colorado as they make their long-awaited Colorado debut on June 10th.

After teasing us with updates on the renovations to their new location at the Promenade Shop at Centerra in Loveland, Colorado, for months, the time for Colorado's very first Anchor Bar is finally here. The famous restaurant announced that the doors will open on Monday, June 10th.

Having never tried Anchor Bar before, I cannot wait to try the original buffalo wing, and the original medium wind sauce that Mama Thressa created six decades ago! A full Friday Food Review will follow soon... Now, where are my wipes?!
