Here’s Your Warning, Western Colorado, It’s Gonna Get Hot
Summer has been in full session for about a month, and the temperatures in western Colorado have been fairly bearable. That's all about to change this week.
Looking at the weather forecast, we're going to see triple-digit temps this week starting Wednesday through the weekend.

I, for one, am not looking forward to the scorching temps. I prefer the more comfortable temps we've been seeing so far. Plus, it takes away from my golf game, since I'm a fair-weather golfer.
Just How Hot Will It Get in Western Colorado?
Hot!
Grand Junction will see temps starting at 100 degrees on Wednesday and Sunday, 103 on Thursday and Saturday, and 104 degrees on Friday. Hope you're ready.
If you head south towards Delta and Montrose, it won't be too bad. Delta may see 101 on Friday. Montrose will stay in the high 90s.
This would be a perfect time to hit the rivers --especially since the flows have come down from peak runoff. That being said, you still want to make sure you're practicing safe floating with life vests and all.
What Should I Do When Colorado Temps Get This High?
If you ask me, stay inside with your AC or swamp cooler running. That's where I'll be. Super high temps and I don't get along. I know, I live in the wrong place for that, but I love it here.
You'll definitely want to drink plenty of water. Be sure you do any outdoor activity during the cooler morning or evening hours.
I'd also go out to eat (let someone else sweat over the stove,) maybe get some shopping done (like in the frozen food aisle,) and highjack your friend's pool (even if they're not home -- I kid, I kid. )
Whatever you do, be sure to stay safe and don't overdo it.
