We’ve had quite a bit of closures in Colorado as of late, and it’s honestly getting sort of depressing.

One that’s about to happen is the awesome Denver winery, Infinite Monkey Theorem, which will close at the end of the year.

Not only was it a trailblazer in starting urban wineries, but it was one of the first places to put wine in a can.

However, something else that can be pretty hard to swallow can be when something moves away.

For example, the Colorado Eagles could soon be on the move to Greeley, and while the proposal looks absolutely awesome, it still could hurt some fans in Loveland.

On the other hand, Elitch’s has already moved once, and it seems like a move to Aurora could soon be in its future.

Now, there’s a great restaurant and wine bar that is going to be moving from its original spot in Fort Collins.

However, it’s not as dramatic of a move as you might think.

Getting started back in 2003, Domenic’s Bistro & Wine Bar has become a favorite spot for many people in Fort Collins.

In fact, I think it’s a pretty great place to take someone out on a date.

It’s been at its current location on 931 E Harmony Road for over 21 years at this point, but it’s about to be on the move.

With that being said, Fort Collins residents can rest easy knowing it’s not going to be leaving the community, or even the same general area, at all.

Domenic’s is Moving Just 200 Yards Away From Old Location

That’s right, Domenic’s Bistro & Wine Bar is not only staying in Fort Collins, but it’s going to essentially be in the exact same area.

Only located 200 yards away from the soon-to-be old spot, the new area will have more space to accommodate the busy crowds that come to Domenic’s.

Also, the new spot will also house better facilities than the old place.

The owner, Brian, said on a post on Facebook that while he’s extremely excited about the new location, he will definitely miss the memories that were created from the original.

In fact, he said he felt:

“...overwhelming sadness in leaving a home that has held us, comforted us, challenged us, and grew with us”.

It’s hard to blame him, given that it has been his family owned and operated restaurant for the past 21 years.

However, change is not always bad, and the new Domenic’s is set to only improve on the formula they have perfected since 2003.

The last change you’ll get at dining at the Domenic’s old location will be this Sunday. It is set to reopen at its new location on November 6th.

While the list is much longer, here are some of the Colorado businesses that we were most sad to see go since 2023.
