In Fort Collins alone, there’s a ton of innovative breweries that are all over the place. You’ve got giants like New Belgium and Odell Brewing holding down the fort, but you’ve also got some awesome spots like Purpose Brewing that are fantastic as well.

However, there was recently a beer related incident in Northern Colorado that left many people shocked.

Beer Truck Crashes on I-25 in Northern Colorado

On Thursday, there was a pretty major accident that took place on I-25 near Berthoud, Colorado.

Early in the morning south of the Colorado 56 exit, a semi-truck strangely crashed out of nowhere.

What made this different, however, was that the truck was stocked full of cases of beer and other alcohol.

When the truck crashed, it caused these cases full of alcohol to burst, which meant that the now destroyed truck was leaking alcohol.

Not only that, but it also was leaking tons of fuel as well. According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, an exact amount of fuel is not known at this point, but estimates placed it at around 20 gallons.

This meant that for cleanup crews, the smell was quite notable.

Berthoud Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Nico Romero, who was interviewed by the Loveland Reporter-Herald when this happened, said, “It smelled like there was a diesel spill in a brewery”.

What Was the Aftermath?

For one, there was an extremely heavy amount of traffic throughout the morning as cleanup crews got to work.

It was only at 1:14 pm when the highway was finally reopened again.

On the other hand, the driver was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence.

Fortunately, it was a single vehicle crash, so nobody was injured in the wreck.

How the crash happened is still unknown.

Are You Brave Enough to Drive Colorado's Most Perilous Roads?

Slivers of asphalt cling to mountainsides with barely enough room for a subcompact car, let alone the monster RVs peppering the roadways. Blind corners leave even the most experienced drivers wondering what awaits around the bend. Let's not forget the thousand-foot drops with nothing between safety and impending doom but a thin slice of gravel -- talk about white knuckles.

If you're brave enough to "risk your life" for beautiful views, you won't be disappointed.

How many of these dangerous roads have you traveled in Colorado?
