Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, it seems like the workforce has changed in a number of ways. While the effects of the pandemic were devastating, to say the least, one of the positive things that came from the bizarre changes that it caused was the need for innovations for members of the workforce to complete their job duties from home.

However, new data suggest that despite these changes, the average number of hours that Colorado residents work in a typical week has been slowly decreasing.

How Many Hours Do Coloradans Work in a Typical Week?

While the typical work week is supposed to be set at 40 hours, the latest data shows that in 2024, residents of Colorado only worked an average of 37.2 hours per week.

This figure is down from the prior year, which showed an average work week for Coloradans to be roughly 38.3 hours, which was down from the prior year that reported a figure of 39.4.

These figures are rather alarming when compared to those of neighboring states like Nebraska, Utah, Wyoming, and Kansas, which show average work weeks of 39.7, 39.4, 41.4, and 39.5 hours per week on average, respectively.

However, it should also be noted that the average weekly earnings for members of Colorado's workforce have increased over the past few years from $1081.53 in 2022 to $1209.74 in 2024.
