Obviously, the aforementioned animals that call Colorado home are dangerous and should be avoided at all costs, and you'll find equally dangerous specimens on display at the Denver Zoo.
However, the Denver Zoo now has a special exhibit that, for the first time ever, allows patrons to get up close and personal with some adorable animals that have made the trip all the way from Australia to the Centennial State.

The multi-species habitat is known as Wallaby Way and features a variety of Australian animals including red-necked wallabies, red kangaroos, Huon tree kangaroos, Southern cassowaries, and even an albino wallaby.
The biggest thing that sets Wallaby Way aside from traditional exhibits at the Denver Zoo is the fact that it's "immersive."
The exhibit allows patrons to literally enter the home of 16 kangaroos and wallabies and roam around among them. Director of Communications of the Denver Zoo Jake Kubie explains that the idea for the exhibit centers around the notion that the “Denver Zoo exists to connect people to wildlife,” adding that “Habitats are really portals to other parts of the world.”
The exhibit also focuses on educating the public with regard to what it's like for these species to survive in the wild and why conservation is so important.
