Believe it or not, there was once a time when cameras weren't in the pockets of every person in America over the age of 16. The good news is, despite footage not being quite as widespread as it is today, someone did manage to capture and hold on to footage taken decades ago in Crested Butte.

While it's unclear as to exactly when the footage was taken, it's easy to assume that it was probably right around the disco era of the mid to late-1970s based on an appearance made by bellbottoms and what one could argue was a Barry Gibb look-alike.

The footage shows other things we don't see in our ski towns nowadays such as beer drinking right on the mountain, dogs walking freely in the middle of the street, and even a couple of musicians skiing down the mountain while managing to play a song together.
