According to the Colorado Department of Higher Education, free application days for applying to college are back for residents of Colorado.

College Application Fees Can Add Up Quickly

If you've ever applied for college before, you're probably aware that those application fees can add up very quickly. Most people apply to multiple colleges to boost their chances of acceptance, but that can end up being quite costly.

Colorado Applies Month

Colorado wants everyone to be successful in reaching their educational goals, which is why Colorado Applies Month (CAM) was launched. CAM is a 5-week campaign that guides students and job seekers along the application process.

This year CAM kicked off on September 19th and runs through October 21st.

Who Is Eligible to Apply For Free to Colorado Colleges?

In order to qualify to apply for free during Free Application Day$ in Colorado you must be one of the following:

  • a resident of Colorado
  • a first-time freshmen
  • a transfer student
  • a returning student
  • or an applicant seeking a second bachelor's degree

Who Is Not Eligible to Apply For Free to Colorado Colleges?

During Free Application Day$ in Colorado, the following are not eligible to apply for free to Colorado colleges:

  • non-Colorado residents
  • applicants for graduate-level programs

When Are Free Application Day$ in Colorado?

From October 18 through October 20, 2022, applicants are eligible to apply to all state public and some private Colorado colleges and universities for free. It is recommended that applicants begin the process before those dates to ensure that they are submitted on time.
