Celebrating Colorado Moms for Mother’s Day
Your mom is awesome.
Your mom takes care of you, no matter what your problem is. Your mom roots for you to succeed, even when you don't feel like you can. Your mom is your biggest fan, your cheerleader, and your counselor, all rolled up into one person. No one on this planet will love you unconditionally, except for your mom. Your mom is awesome.
Mother's Day is here again, so it's time for all of us to show our moms how much we love and appreciate them. It's not really that hard to accomplish, because your mother asks you for so little. All you really have to do is take your mom to lunch, tell her how much you love her, and don't get her a present from the pharmacy...again. Put even a little bit of thought into anything you decide to do for your mom on Mother's Day, and I promise you she'll love it all the same.
Don't forget the moms in your life that aren't your mom, though. If you're married with children, you have a mom sitting right next to you at dinner every night that I'm sure would appreciate some recognition. Unfortunately, your children, and everyone's children to be honest, are terrible at gifts, particularly for mom. Much like her birthday, you may want to step in and direct traffic on that one.
However, you have to show your love and admiration for the mother of your children on Mother's Day, too. So get off the couch, take her on a nice date, and make sure she knows that you appreciate what being a mother actually means.
