Did a Colorado Chain of Dispensaries Just Run Out of Weed?

In the legal marijuana industry, there are all kinds of obstacles that dispensaries face in order to remain not just legal, but at the end of the day, open altogether. One misstep could prove to be fatal to a dispensary's business and license loss is something that these types of businesses have to try to avoid consistently.

However, while you've likely heard of dispensaries being shut down because of the loss of a license, you've probably never heard of one going out of business because it ran out of weed, right? Well, that very scenario may be playing out as we speak for a chain of dispensaries in Colorado.

If you live in the Denver area or in Pueblo, Colorado, it's possible that you've come across the name Wolf Pac Cannabis. Wolf Pac Cannabis operates two dispensaries in the Denver area, as well as one in Pueblo. Or, at least, they did.

It has been reported that the Wolf Pac dispensary at 2420 South Colorado Boulevard was seen with its doors closed bearing a sign that read, "Store Closed, No Product."

As if this wasn't puzzling enough, their other Denver location at 74 Federal Boulevard reportedly also has a sign on the door that reads, "Closed today. We are sorry for the inconvenience." 

However, according to Google, this location is only "Temporarily Closed."

On the surface, it may seem that, yep, Wolf Pac must have run out of weed and that's why two of their three stores have closed.

However, the chain has experienced licensing troubles as recently as 2022, and it does not appear that the company has made an official statement just yet.

For now, it appears that we'll have to settle for the conclusion that these two stores simply have "No Product."
