Grab Your Brooms Boards for this Grand Junction Event
Standup Paddleboarding is a super fun activity to do on the numerous lakes and reservoirs here in Colorado. Unfortunately, the season typically ends for most places around labor day because the temperatures quickly start dropping making the water too cold to enjoy.
However, one event will test the waters here in Grand Junction by encouraging visitors to dress in Halloween garb all while standup paddleboarding!
Grand Valley Witches Paddle 2022
The event has been dubbed the Grand Valley Witches Paddle 2022 and will take place from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Attendees will meet at the Las Colonias Boat Ramp and paddle to the Blue Heron Boat Ramp. There will be a limited amount of GJ Adventures shuttles so paddlers are encouraged to coordinate other shuttle options.
For all the Witches, Wizards and Warlocks! Bust out your cauldron, hat and spell book. Bring your broom/ paddle, life jacket, SUP, kayak, canoe or raft. Feel free to bring you magical furry critters, little witches or goblins to paddle with you.
The event is absolutely free for those interested in attending, but you'll need your own water gear (SUP, kayak, canoe, or raft), and safety equipment.
