There are many animals available for adoption at NOCO Humane right now, looking for their forever homes. This week's Townsquare NoCo Pet of the Week powered by Camp Bow Wow is actually a pet that was featured back in April.

Clara Has Spent Nearly 100 Days at NOCO Humane

Clara is still looking for her forever home in Northern Colorado and she has been at NOCO Humane for nearly 100 days. Right now, Clara is looking for a loving home.

Clara Is Sweet, Playful, and Recovering From Injury

She is extremely sweet. She loves to chase balls, chew toys, and run around. Clara is currently recovering from a torn CCL in her knee joint.

NOCO Humane tells us that she is still playful, but can only participate in low-impact activity until she is healed up.

Clara is a nine-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who has been working with NOCO Humane's Behavior Team. She has been working on commands and listening cues. The Behavior Team reports that Clara is doing great. She is fully potty trained.

The Best of Both Worlds: Cuddly and Adventurous

Here is what NOCO Humane told us.

She is the best of both worlds, loves to lounge and receive pets all day, but also loves to explore and run around (once her knee has fully recovered, and then she’ll shed those extra pounds!).

Clara is an active dog that does well on a leash. She loves to play and loves to be active.

NOCO Humane tells us that she will need to be the only dog in the home. She will also need to live in a small animal-free home due to her prey drive. She is barrier reactive, dog selective, and tends to resource guard.
