The cost of living is going up, and so is the cost of having fun as well. Attending a baseball game, a basketball game, a concert, a play, or a musical isn't cheap, and not everyone can afford to go to these types of events. There are ways to get affordable tickets sometimes, but typically you have to fork up a good amount of money to attend. Many struggle with 'FOMO,' also known as the fear of missing out. Because of this, there are those who will get tickets to events, despite not having the money, and figure it out later. According to a recent report by Experian, 79% of people said they would finance a once-in-a-lifetime event so that they don't miss out. Think Super Bowl, World Cup, or a special concert. 36% said they would go into debt to travel to their event, despite the fact that 67% said that travelling is less affordable this year than last year, but 70% have already booked travel plans. 39% said ticket prices are their biggest concern when travelling to an event. With many big events happening, it sounds like many care more about missing out than about their financial obligations, and that debt is worth it to attend certain shows, concerts, and events.
