
Xcel Energy Cuts Power to Thousands In Colorado as Winds Gust Over 100 MPH
Many people living and working in the Front Range are still being affected by Xcel Energy's Public Safety Power Shutoff watch.
At approximately, 10:00 AM on the morning of December 17th, Xcel began shutting off power to thousands of Northern Coloradans, specifically Boulder, Larimer, Jefferson, Weld and Clear Creek counties, according to reports.
High Winds and Wildfire Risk Prompt Colorado Power Shutoffs
In an earlier report, due to the chance of more high-speed winds and low humidity which can cause wildfires, there's a possibility of another round of power shutoffs across the state this week.

More Than 90,000 Xcel Energy Customers Without Power in Colorado
According to Xcel Energy's electric outage map, more than 90,000 customers are still without power as of 4:30 AM on Thursday, December 18th.
Weld County Power Outages Affect Thousands of Residents
In Weld County, approximately 1,600 Xcel customers have been affected by this weather event and planned power outage.
