Loveland Police Department Has A Legit Sense of Humor
Earlier this week, the Loveland Police Department put out a recap of things that happened over the weekend, and ultimately put kind of a funny spin on it.
According to a post they put on X/Twitter, they "saw it all," which included some serious charges for serious alleged crimes, but also a ticketed driver who was doing just less than 100 MPH - in a Subaru.
The police department's phrasing of that last fact was pretty funny and drew the attention of some fellow Subaru owners, I'm guessing, based on their follow up post.

They said "and yes - believe it or not - a Subaru driver clocked nearly 100 MPH. We're just as shocked as you that a Subaru could actually do that."
Hilarious.
Well, it didn't take long for people - Subaru drivers I guess? - to comment, therefore the Loveland PD must have felt it necessary to follow up and clarify their phrasing was all in good fun. And that in fact, the person who posted it has actually owned a dozen of them, plus many other officers and staff at the department do too.
I think the cops having a little fun in their communications is a good thing. They're people at the end of the day, and every community should strive to have a relationship with the officers at their local police department.

Showing that they're human, compassionate and just like everyone else is a good thing. And when good things and happy vibes are at a premium, there should be more of this in the world.
