You Won’t Believe What This Travel Site Says You Can Do in Loveland, Colorado

It's nice that a travel website would want to include Loveland, Colorado, as a great place to visit, but many might be pretty upset if they were to take the website at its word.

I saw this on my feed a few years ago and was flabbergasted at their glaring mistake about The Sweetheart City. You would think after all these years, this wouldn't still be happening.

You would like to think that anyone talking about visiting a city or town would have visited it themselves first or, at the very least, done some extra research. I'm guessing that whoever wrote this given tourism article has gotten an earful from somebody. (But here we are two years later, as I reviewed this article in July 2024, the big mistake still exists.)

TheDiscoveriesof.com's headline, "Things to Do in Loveland, Colorado: Small Town Charm in The Sweetheart City," does list at least five great things to do:

So, with a strong list like the above, you really get the feeling that this website knows Loveland, right? "Wait for it," as they say. Right there in the article, under "Things to Do in Loveland During the Day," they list...

What the What? Come on, gang, really?

Ski Loveland is not in Loveland, Colorado

Ski Loveland is about 100 miles from Loveland, Colorado. I'm going to guess that you have friends or distant relatives who have made the mistake of thinking that Loveland is the ski resort. For a travel website to get so much right but this wrong is a glaring oversight. 

I can almost give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they are implying that you can GO to Ski Loveland, but they could have also said, "You can see the Colorado Avalanche play," (because you could GO to Ball Arena).
