Walker Mowers Invites Public to Free 50th Anniversary Party

It's great when a successful business in Colorado can share that success with its community. Walker Mowers, in Fort Collins, isn't holding back when it comes to celebrating 50 years on Harmony Road.

When is Walker Mowers 'Family Reunion' Celebration in Fort Collins?

On Friday, September 18, 2026, Walker Mowers is throwing a huge party at their factory/campus at 5925 East Harmony Road. They're calling it a "Family Reunion," but that doesn't mean that we can't all show up for the free festivities.

How Long Has Walker Manufacturing Been Around?

While the history of Walker Manufacturing dates back to Kansas in the 1950s, it was in 1977 that they began producing mowers and did so very successfully.  In 1996, about 20 years in business, the factory had created a total of 25,000 mowers; move ahead to 2026, when Walker would celebrate the creation of its 200,000th mower.

The free event kicks off at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m.  They'll have a free lunch (11:00 a.m. to 1:00p p.m.), and food trucks will be on site with free dinner (4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.). They're going to have many activities going on throughout the day:

• Kid Zone.
• Helicopter Rides ($50, register prior).
• Live bands throughout the day.
• Factory Tours.
• The Walker Parade.
• Obstacle Course (1st place wins a  Limited-Edition 2026 Commemorative Walker Mower).
• Walker Skates (like go-karts).
• Boom Sprayer Contest.
• More.

Having worked in Windsor since 1997, I've traveled along Harmony Road often, passing by that immaculate lawn that Walker has; I'm sure it makes a lot of people jealous. This party will be a great way to show off the lawn and the factory while having a fun Friday and Friday evening.
