Who Has The Most Beautiful Colleges?
ArchitecturalDigest.com recently went coast-to-coast to develop the 64 Most Beautiful College Campuses in America. The school that topped their list was the University of Hawaii at Mānoa (Honolulu, Hawaii), which cost non-resident students around $54,000 per semester. I bet it's hard to study when you look out the window every day and see Honolulu.
Colorado's Most Beautiful Campus
The Centennial State shows up on the ArchitecturalDigest.com list at campus number 36 out of 64. While Colorado only shows up once on the 2024 list, it's hard to imagine a list of beautiful college campuses that does not include The University of Colorado - Boulder.
A Campus Worth Visiting
The University of Colorado-Boulder commissioned architect Charles Klauder (1917-1939) to conceive a new style for the campus. His vision included a Mediterranean-style approach to buildings often with towers, chimneys, and cascading roofs. When viewed from above Boulder, the terra cotta appearance of Klauders campus stands out.
