Do you stock up on groceries at your local Colorado Target store? Be sure to do so before friends and family arrive at the end of the month as Target has announced plans to close stores in Colorado on March 31st.
Several stores are spreading the word now that they also plan to be closed on March 31st for the 2024 Easter holiday. Find a full list of retailers who will close or offer limited store hours below.
Target Stores Closing Nationwide for Easter
Several stores have announced closures or limited hours for the holidays at the end of the month. Target is going all out for employees by announcing plans to close on the final day of the month, Sunday, March 31st. In recent years, Target has given many employees the day off on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Today, shoppers can easily buy what they need online, so many stores take advantage of saving some money on payroll by giving employees time to hunt for Easter eggs.
Expect to see the Target Stores in Grand Junction, Montrose, and Glenwood Springs, closed on March 31st.
More Retailers Closed for the Holiday
Target isn't the only chain that will affect shoppers in Colorado on Easter Sunday. USA TODAY reports that retailers Aldi, Sam's Club, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Homegoods, Costco, Lowe's, and Macy's stores will all close on Easter Sunday.
Retailers in Grand Junction who have closed on Easter Sunday in recent years include Sam's Club, Big Lotts, Sprouts Farmer's Market, and Lowe's. You should check with these locations locally to see if they will close again for the 2024 holiday.
Which Stores are Open on Easter?
We need to have someplace to go for incidentals on Easter, right? Have no fear. Walmart has announced they will go in the opposite direction on Easter and remain open for shoppers who may need a last-minute item for their holiday celebration, or more candy for their Easter baskets.
