The boulders, while not inconspicuous in the slightest, have been accidentally run over by multiple vehicles, including an ambulance.
Where in Colorado Are the Rocks Located?
The decorative boulders that keep getting run over are located in a parking lot at 1141 South Potomac Street in Aurora.
In fact, the rocks have created such a buzz that the tiny area in which they are located has been named "Mississippi Rock" on Google Maps, a reference to nearby East Mississippi Avenue.

As we can see here, the road adjacent to the rocks is fairly narrow, which may partially explain why motorists keep running them over.
It should also be noted that the location of Mississippi Rock appears to have once been home to a lamp pole, and the below Google image was likely taken before the rocks were placed in the spot in which they are currently located.
How Many Colorado Motorists Have Hit the Rocks?
If we analyze the above video from Next 9NEWS, we find that these rocks have been hit many times.
Photos show upwards of 11 vehicles that have hit the large rocks, including one that flipped over as a result. In addition, a large vehicle that appears to be an ambulance has also fallen victim to the now-notorious Mississippi Rock.
