It was recently announced that a new stadium is set to be built in Colorado that will replace the state's current NFL stadium, Empower Field at Mile High. The current stadium has been home to the Denver Broncos since 2001, and according to new data, the stadium is pretty unpopular at the moment.

In fact, the new stadium couldn't come quickly enough as Empower Field at Mile High was recently ranked as one of the worst of its kind in the nation.

According to the data, Empower Field at Mile High ranked 21st out of the 30 professional football stadiums in the United States.

The stadium has hosted countless Denver Broncos games over the years, as well as a number of big concerts, so why does it rank so low?

Why is Colorado's NFL Stadium Ranked So Low on a National Level?

While the stadium operates at a level high enough to host nearly 80,000 football fans at a time, and even more for concerts, one of the main reasons that it's ranked so low and is set to be replaced is due to its age.

In addition, there have been some incidents at Empower Field at Mile High in recent years that have tarnished the stadium's reputation, including a fire in 2022 that damaged 1,000 feet of seating.
