Montrose Colorado Giving Smiles to Kids for the Holidays
I had the opportunity to interview Kathy Hoffman with Cobble Creek Angel Tree. She has been with them for five years now. They work with organizations that receive referrals for kids that are in need. Some of the places they receive referrals from include PIC Place, Montrose Schools, Dolphin House, Back Canyon Boys and Girls Club, and Partners.

What ages do they serve?
The ages are newborn to 16 years of age. The Angel Tree Fund takes information about the children, not their names, their ages, if they have special needs, colors they like, and Santa wishes. Then put angels on the trees, then you adopt an angel and receive a large gift bag and a list of instructions. Please wrap each gift, and they thank you for participating and basically what the child would like.
What are some of the children's needs?
Sometimes they need a bed. There are also special needs items like books and more. Clothes, shoes, and toys are what most of them need.
Where are the Tree Locations?
The Angel Trees are at Cobble Creek 699 Cobble Drive in Montrose. Also Timberline Bank, Community Banks of Colorado, DMEA, and Montrose Realtors. The Angel Trees went up this week at all locations. All gifts need to be dropped off by December 6th. They also do fundraising if some of the Angels don't get adopted in time.
Annual Benefit Dinner:
They also raise money through the Annual Benefit Dinner at The Stonehouse in Montrose. The Dinner will be on November 15. There are still a few spots left for reservations.
They served 337 Children last year. All the info is on their website Cobble creek.com under charitable events.
