Road Construction On South Junction Ave In Montrose

It's that time of year. There is winter and there is road construction season. At least it feels that way here in the mountain town of Montrose. We know fixing things in the warmer weather is ideal.

South Junction Avenue is a very busy street, I should know I live near it. South 5th to 8th Street on South Junction Ave. is getting some much-needed street work done. It will continue to 12th Street. I actually saw people go thru the cones early this morning. They are there for a reason. I know it's a nuisance but the street is getting resurfaced.

No doubt there are many potholes all over the city this time of year. It's just a friendly reminder to take an alternate route to work or wherever you may be headed. There is a sign at the bottom of South Junction Avenue and 5th Street, letting you know about it.

Another thing is the road closures. Davewood Road is close to Sanburn until further notice due to flooding. There is runoff from the snowpack that affects areas at this time.
