Montrose, Colorado is full of great bartenders, craft beer, and craft cocktails. So I asked, If Montrose had an official cocktail what would it be?

Tiffany R. Something with Whiskey, cinnamon, and maple

Blake C. Whiskey, honey, and orange bitters

Katie M. Martini with lemon and lavender. Don't forget to sugar the rim.

Interesting choices. It's cold here for a good 5 months of the year, so I say let's come up with something that has peppermint flavoring. We can call it a Mintrose.

Let's start with vanilla vodka, white creme de menthe, and possibly a splash of peppermint schnapps. I'm no mixologist, but I know I can ask a local bartender to make just about anything.

If you love great specialty cocktails, there is Phelanies Speakeasy, The Stonehouse, Stormking Distillery, Sidleines sports bar, and even Town hall bar, which all know how to make great cocktails. It would be fun to have a Montrose-specific drink, maybe we do, and I just haven't found out yet.

What should Montrose official Cocktail be?
