I'm sure you can remember a bad night of sleep. When I was younger it didn't affect me as it does now. The doctor said it's an age thing. That is not a solution to a bigger issue. I do take magnesium which seems to help. Melatonin amps me up.
How much sleep do adults need?

How about kids and teenagers?
Infants need 12 to 15 hours and toddlers 11 to 14. Preschool and school-age should get at least 10 or more. According to the sleep foundation.

There is obstructive sleep apnea which is the most common form. It occurs when throat muscles relax and block airflow into the lungs. Did you know about central sleep apnea? Actually occurs when the brain doesn't send proper signals to the muscles which control breathing.

It makes you more productive, healthier, and just overall happier. Sleep is also essential for anyone with health issues.
Sticking to the same sleep schedule is important too. The right mattress is a must, along with the correct sleep pillows. Light and sound are other issues, it's best to put the electronics away an hour before bedtime.
Caffeine is another thing to consider when it comes to sleep. It will affect your sleep quality. It's important to try and relax with a pre-bed routine. A bad night's sleep is no fun. Especially when you have a big test or presentation the next morning. Here's to a great night of sleep.
