Oscar Stanley opened The Stanley Hotel in 1909 after discovering the health benefits of living in the Colorado mountains. He and his wife loved Estes Park but felt it lacked the "sophistication" they'd been accustomed to, so they built The Stanley.

Stephen King helped make The Stanley famous with "The Shining," based on his stay at The Stanley. Thousands flock to the hotel each year, hoping to experience something paranormal there.

CFC has done a lot of work with prisons, but also a lot of work with hotel properties. In the Estes Park Trail Gazette's interview with The Stanley's current owner, he states that they (Grand Heritage Hotel Group) will continue to manage the property, and everything we love about The Stanley will remain.

WHEN WILL THE STANLEY HOTEL IN COLORADO HAVE NEW OWNERS?

The acquisition of The Stanley by CFC should be completed by mid-February 2024.
