Is This Famous Colorado DIner Closing Down?

It's hard to find good local restaurants that are open late. When I worked at the old Roller Express skating rink in Thornton, it was tradition to go grab breakfast after work on Friday and Saturday nights. Of course, you could pop by Village Inn or Denny's, and McDonald's and  Taco Bell were always options too. The diner we chose, became "our place" because of its awesome theme decor, tasty food, and amazing staff that treated us like family. Sadly, the man who turned this place into what we knew and loved has passed away, and people are starting to wonder what's next...

The Owner Of Great Scotts Eatery In Colorado Has Passed Away

If you'd ever dined at Great Scotts Eatery in Denver, you'd almost certainly met, or at least seen the Diner's amazing owner. Justin Abrams sadly passed away at the young age of 41.

To know Justin, was to love Justin. This incredible person bought the run-down diner that he loved as a young man and turned it into something most thought could never happen, including designing and building a new location for this iconic Diner from the ground up about six blocks from its original location. He was the kind of owner you loved supporting and doing business with because he was fair, and treated everybody like they mattered. Now that he's gone, what's next for the restaurant that he made famous?

Meet Great Scotts Eatery's New Owner

The Diner just announced that there's a new owner in place, and she's as close as it gets to having Justin himself...

Justin's mother, Carla, is now the owner of Great Scotts Eatery and promises to keep Justin's memory and dream alive as they march forward without their fearless leader. So fear not, Great Scotts will continue to keep on boppin' for years to come.
