Worst Cell Service In Colorado

We've all been in a situation where we were trying to make a call, or send a text, or photo to someone, only to have zero reception and have the call or message fail. It's frustrating considering how much we pay for these top-of-the-line devices and the "best" services available. Be it Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, or Cricket, they all seem to be similar quality these days. Typically these things happen at larger events with thousands of people present like a Broncos or Rockies game, or a concert at Ball Arena, the Greeley Stampede, or Cheyenne Frontier Days. But in the example I'm talking about, it doesn't matter what time of day, or what specific area of this location you're in, it's just awful. And being as popular as it is, you can't help but wonder why they haven't corrected the problem.

Ever shopped at the Orchards Mall on 144th and I-25? Or the Denver Premium Outlets at 136th and I-25? That entire area between Highway 7 down to 136th must be the biggest black hole for cellphone reception in all of Colorado. If not the worst, one of the top 3 for sure because it is absolutely brutal. I was there shopping over the weekend and if the particular store didn't have wifi to jump on to, you couldn't even make a call. We were at Macy's Target, the Nike Store, Dutch Bros. Coffee, and a few other locations in that area and my cell phone was pretty much worthless. I got separated from my wife and family at one point and I couldn't even call them to ask where they were without getting on the store's wifi.

Terrible Cell Phone Service In Thornton and Westminster, Colorado

After digging a bit, many agree that the service is absolutely terrible in this section of Thornton and Westminster. The ironic part is there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T stores all next to each other at Orchards, and other Cell phone stores across that entire stretch and you have zero service on any of the carriers. It's crazy, right? With as popular as these areas are, why that's such a black hole for reception or LTE/5G for years now is absolutely unacceptable. Especially for as much as these devices cost us each month. It's also a public safety issue in case of an emergency. How can you call for help if your phone won't make calls? Some phones are set up with the SOS satellite feature but even that backup system has its flaws. Will this ever be addressed and corrected? We sure hope so.
