One of those spots, originally opened under a different name, has become one of Colorado's true Burger treasures.

Grandpa's Burger Haven Is One Of The Best In Colorado

In the early 60s, there were three local Jim's Burger Haven restaurants around Colorado.

With locations in Thornton, Westminster, and Denver, Jim's was the best place to go for local burgers and fun.

Jim's Denver location was re-branded as Grandpa's Burger Haven in 1980, but the same family who owned and ran the location, and Jim's incredible recipes, would continue.

Randy Goddard's family has owned Grandpa's since it was Jim's, and after 35 years, he's ready to call it a day.

New Owners At Colorado's Popular Grandpa's Burger Haven In Denver

It's no surprise that in 2024, it's incredibly hard to keep restaurant food as affordable as many of their customers are used to.

The rising costs in supplies and labor have pushed the prices up way past the point that keeping them low was putting a lot of strain on the financial part of the business.

So after receiving many offers over the years to sell Grandpa's, Randy finally found the right buyer to keep the tradition at Grandpa's alive and running strong and has decided it's time to move on and enjoy life.

While the new owners plan to keep the majority of the menu intact, the prices may have to change as costs continue to rise.

Even if the prices do rise a bit, it'll still be cheaper than trying to eat at Five Guys for example, which is ranked as one of Colorado's most expensive burger joints.
