Montrose is surrounded by so much beauty, parks, endless walking or hiking trails, and the Uncompahgre River you name it. You can drive around after a bad day with your music loud and let the tears out. That's what I do. I have suffered terrible allergies this week and lost my voice. I have felt like crying.

The Bridges Golf Course is full of gorgeous landscaped beauty. You will be smiling instead of crying in no time. There are plenty of walking trails around Montrose to think and ponder your day. I love looking over the bridge at river bottom park, It's so tranquil and calms your stress instantly.

Take a drive towards the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Even a different route to work or on the way home can change things up. Stop and smell the roses as the saying goes.  We all have had a bad day, but we are also so lucky to live in such a beautiful place in Montrose. I hope some of these places help you take your mind off of whatever is stressing you out. A good cry sometimes soothes the soul.
